A guilty yet satisfying day

This is what I did when the nation is tuning into the wedding of the century, stuff myself with good food! LOL. Had a go at Kissaten, Jaya One. Was very tempted to have late lunch at Ikea, but thank god the traffic was really bad so it wasn't very convenient to make a turn to Ikea. Instead, we stuck to the original plan and went to Jaya One to try the pork burger and char siew pizza.

Potato Egg Salad
Teriyaki Pork Burger
<3 the sauce
Char Siew Pizza
The amount of cheese is sufficient to make me feel guilty

I must say the menu kinda reminds me of Pasta Zanmai, the price range around the same? They have other dishes as well such as don, udon, some local food etc etc. But I guess the pork burger and char siew pizza is the must try. Another one is the drink, read off some blog recommending it but didn't try cos it's made of blended BITTER GOURD and cucumber :|
You should know my stand.

Then we headed back to Klang and decided to stop by Aeon Bt Tinggi. Starbucks is currently having 50% off their fraps from 5pm to 7pm. The offer lasts until 7th May. So, the large green tea frap is only for RM8.20. HAHA. I didn't like it though because the ices were not blend fine enough. There is ice bits in every sip. Thumbs down :/

Dessert of the day!

Of course I must thank this girl for the lovely yet guilty day. HAHAHA. Thank you for always driving me around for good food, shopping and whatnot.

My partner in crime XD

Nine

We threw a 50 cent coin to decide which movie we should watch. Head for George Clooney's 'Up in the Air' and tail for Rob Marshall's 'Nine'. From the image and title (duh!) I guess you knew what fate had decided for us. Lmao.

The movie was released today at GSC Midvalley, but surprisingly it was slotted at some ulu, small theater. And guess what? There was not more than 10 people watching it. And we were the youngest audience. That's very saddening when it's the first day of the release. Lol.

And lady luck wasn't with us today so we couldn't get Subway's Sub of the Day =( The queue was damn long with all the working class people. I queued up anyways cos I thought that it would be quick since it's an international franchise. But no no, I was dead wrong. After waiting for ten minutes, they only managed to serve 2 customers. It practically did not move at all. Oh well, afterall this is Malaysia, truly Asia ;)

Team Jacob ^^

Well, updates are ceasing nowadays. Nothing inspires me to write anymore. I don't go like "oh yeah, I should blog about this". And somehow I feel I write naively. Haha. That's what my writing lecturer told the class. He said that some of the students are still writing naively and I sorta terasa. I don't know. I'm doing well in his class (it's one of the classes that I enjoy this sem) but felt like I'm not up to par yet *sigh* enough about that. Let's proceed on with the post.

As all of you have read my title, yep, I'm officially in team Jacob. I can imagine Pei Li's reaction already *chuckles*

Honestly, the film sucked big time. Kristen Stewart is still kayu and all like how she was in Twilight. Robert Pattinson's, well, I still do not get why girls are crazy over him. Maybe like what Pei Yi said, he's good looking at CERTAIN angle. Lol. Yeah, maybe. It's just that I have not discover that and how good an actor he is yet. Heh..

Lucky I did not expect anything out of this film cos I've heard bad reviews before going for it. The only thing that saved it from further damnation was Taylor Lautner's shirtless scenes. And boy, he looked SOOOO much better with short hair. LOL. I think by now I can't deny the fact that I'm weak when it comes to *cough*hot*cough*bods*cough*. I'm so shallow and I can't help it =)

TL's physical appearance was not the only thing that made me support team Jacob though. It's because in this case, I would prefer the idea of a friendly relationship turns romantic. I do like the idea of love at first sight too, don't get me wrong. But don't you think that Edward have the upper hand? It was easy enough for Bella to fall madly in love with Edward that oozes out charms involuntarily. So, I don't think it's fair to say that Bella loves him not for his looks only but whole-heartedly.
I bet it's a different story if Edward and Jacob are of the same standard.

And I prefer Jacob's portrayal that's more human-like contrary to Edward who is cold and sparkles under the sunlight. Pffttt. That's pure ghey.

I know I'm being bias here partly because of the actor *chuckles* but damn, I'd say GO TEAM JACOB.

<333

I can't log into Facebook and the connection is so weak!! Damn. Anyways, a big thank you and hugs for all the wishes and blessings from my dear friends. I can't wait for the third week of August =)

For the ones in Klang, we manage to go for dinner. It was nice to spend the night with a few buddies and joke around. And Pei Yi bought me dinner. Muahaha~ Thanks again! But Elaine and Sze Tzing couldn't make it cos they were busy =(

Anyhows, p
hotos are with Sooks and Nicole. Will ask from them later. I only manage to capture this.

We were sitting at table number 25.
Heh~
The coincidence.

And oh, thank you very much for the polo tees. Now, I have 7 polo tees and I'm still counting for more XD

While on the weekend, I went over to Thailand. It's my first trip. Yay~ I've been wanting to visit our neighbouring country since Standard 6 and finally, I get to go! LOL. And I might be going again this coming Raya. Weeee~

Something caught my eyes when we went around town.

This pole is not the worst compared to another one that I saw. But I didn't have the chance to snap that. I don't know about you guys but it sure looked dangerous to me. Like it's going to explode any moment due to excess usage of electricity. Scaryyy.

A Shopaholic's Den Birthday Bash

Note: Pei Yi, you say I don't update my blog often. So now I'm updating it. LOL.

At first I thought I was going for some flea market. But after meeting Pei Yi's college friend. Oh boy, I was dead wrong. That place was filled with girls, let me correct that. Fashion conscious girls. Clad with my comfy polo tee, shorts and flip flops, I felt out of place. And it was a bit crowded, which is a major turn off. Because I don't like crowded places.

But I did find a few stuff to my liking. Dresses was totally out of the questions of course. But I found this chequered sling bag which costs rm45. A bit ex. And another sling bag, rm65. Chic, stylish type compared to the first bag. Both were sold at the same booth. And we passed the booth a couple of times. Everytime I have to resist the urge to get it *sigh* So in the end I didn't get anything. Sad right? Haha~

But hey, at least I got a free Clinique goodie bag. Hah. Sound so cheapskate. And I get to meet up with Pei Yi. It's been what? 3 months? And I didn't have to spend Saturday afternoon alone, doing nothing. It wasn't so bad. LOL.

AND I found the location of Coconut House. We might be going there for dinner tomorrow. Yay~

Update

Okay, so the trip to The Cleft had been set on the 18th of April which is a Saturday.

We will be going by public transport. Sorry for the confusion. But we're not going by car. I doubt anyone can drive that far. So anyways, sorry again for the confusion.

Hopefully everyone would be able to make it as it's been a while since the bio class people had any chance to meet up. LOL.

See you guys there! =)

20090307-08 The Cleft

I meant to post this up on Sunday itself after I came back but I guess tiredness took over me. The constant dozing off is taken the toll on me. Guess I really need to start sleeping early to compromise with the early day.

This was what I wrote when I was still fresh with the memories made in The Cleft.

The trip was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The place was really cool, the house and also the temperature. Haha~ It's not something that you can come across in Klang or I daresay anywhere in Malaysia. We were taken to a tour around the place. Going 'Woah' and 'oooo' and 'so nice' and sometimes lost for words over the rooms and all. By the time we came back, those leeches had already nabbed Mei Yin and we had them on video.

Mei Yin's Maiden Leech Bite

Well, after being tortured by those blood-sucking creature, Mei Yin thought that she was safe. But oh no, the leech loved her fresh blood too much that there were, guess how many. Two. Two more leeches between her toes and on her heel. And she did not realize that those leeches were happily feeding off her until she sat down and Mary-Ruth saw those leeches.
I was coming out from the toilet when Mary-Ruth and Mei Yin came rushing to the porch and screamed

WHERE IS THE CAMERA?!

Of course being the good friends that we are, we HAVE to help her to remember this experience forever. She will never get that kind of chance else where and with these attentive friends, we just can't help it. That moment is going to be hard to forget. Too bad though, Pei Li did not realize anything, happily playing Dawn (my current favourite music piece) so she missed out on the second leech-killing-moment.

And boy, that OFF! insect repellent works wonder. One spray and those leeches suffer instant death. LOL. I gotta admit, it was really fun watching them die. Hehe~

Mei Yin's Second Leech Bite

All of us definitely had a lot of fun there, especially me. I laughed so much that my face felt stiff at the end of the day XD We did celebrated Mei Yin's birthday together with donuts and a white candle. Mei Yin, you're older than us now. Teehee~

Mei Yin's Birthday Celebration =)

Aishhh.. We were laughing so happily back then. Now ...

20090227 Potluck

You know what? I kept thinking if I should prepare lunch for work tomorrow or not. If I should add this and that to my lunch or not. After some constant pondering only I realized that it's Sunday tomorrow and I'm not working.

What the heck?!

It's not like I'm looking forward to it or anything. But I think my brain is set up to think that I should prepare myself for work. All I can say that it's a good sign? Maybe? LOL. Time will tell.

Oh well, we had a form 6 gathering on Friday night at Brian's place. No photos. Everyone was busy chatting, exploring the house and peeking at the neighbours. LOL. It was potluck and I brought baby tomatoes stuffed with asam. Was kinda worry that others wouldn't like it but after Lee Shin and Elaine gave me positive feedback, I started proclaiming that it was mua that prepared it. LOL. For those who could not make it, sorry wey, you missed out on the good food. Hehe~

After that, we went to the 'bottomless teh tarik' lake to feed the duckies! 5 minutes and all the bread was gone. And I can tell ya, those ducks ain't full. The lake was a very nice spot. You can have a stroll after dinner or just go out there in the evening with a good book. But remember to gear yourself with insect repellent or you'll end up becoming food for the mosquitoes community.

It seems like the form 6 gang have gathering every now and then. But I think the next time when we meet again, it's going to be in school to get our results. Hohoho. That's scary. I shouldn't even be talking about that *sigh* Maybe it's about time for me to stop hiding, clear my mind and think about it?

wassup?

There's million of things I want to write about starting from the first day of CNY until this very minute. But I just don't know where to start from. Everything is important. Everything ought to be remembered. Damn, where to start?

Oh yeah, I'm suppose to upload the photos from Lee Shin's house but failed to do so. Apologies for those who are waiting for it. Here's the photos. By the way, we won't get fined for playing this right cause I think it's illegal. LOL.

Everyone's busy thinking what to write in Lee Shin's room.

Our chinese names.

Lighting up!

Mary-Ruth, what is that suppose to mean? I scored a goal?

Lee Shin's dad helping us to light the lantern.

Then her mom came too.

Finally it's burning.

No war!

Puffing up with hot air.

Slowly rising to the beautiful night sky.

This is the second lantern that we released. Try to spot the first one!

The happiest thing? Well I guess it's the fact that FINALLY I've started work. I'm not rotting anymore. Not labelled as sampah masyarakat. I find this term amusing. ROFL. And the CNY visiting. The ACS peeps and Convent still manage to meet up. Though meeting up for Pei Li's farewell party is not a happy thing. Other than that, life's no different.

Saddest part is that Mary-Ruth shifted to Bukit Tinggi, Pahang last Saturday. No more delicious home-baked brownies. No more hanging out. No more badminton session.

Even though we both looked retarded I'm still putting this up cause it reminds me of the good times we had together.

Then it was Pei Li's farewell party. But I had to leave early because I had other houses to go to. Sorry Pei Li, for not staying longer.

Our last photo together.

Why is everyone leaving?! *cries* Though I can't deny that it's for the better. Both of you will be dearly missed! <3

I'll be back to work tomorrow. Back to the frigging cold office and painful earphones. LOL. Ain't complaining. Just rambling.

After two weeks of absence,

p/s I know, CRAPPY post. Sorry. Will try to rearrange me thoughts. It's overload.

20081220-23 Pulau Langkawi

I wanted to write about our trip to Langkawi but I just ended up staring at the monitor with nothing on my mind. Blank. I didn't want to write like a 'oh we did this and then that' kind of post. I mean, it's kind of boring at times. And it'll be bloody draggy. Just like an essay. I want a clean cut post. Straight to the point.

Oh, forget about that. I'll do the 'oh we did this and then that' post. But I promise I'll try not to be draggy.

So we stayed at this place called Nadias Inn at Chenang Beach (somehow I kept saying 'bridge' everytime I try to say 'beach'). We went three places on the first day, which is Langkawi Cable Car, Makam Mahsuri and Kuah Town.

I'm telling ya Langkawi Cable Car is the place to go, if you're not afraid of heights of course. It's located at Gunung Machinchang. The view from the peak station, which is 710 m tall is magnificient. Very, very strong wind at certain point.

The view from one of the peak station.
See those tiny white dots?
It's yachts.

Then Makam Mahsuri which we didn't visit it actually. We ended up sleeping in the bus with few others because we didn't get any actual sleep the previous night due to erm.. certain people. So no comment on this one. Though I don't find it appealing during my last visit.

Next stop was Kuah town, the 'duty-free heaven'. LOL. This is the place we did most of the chocolate and liquor hunting. It's abit like Bt Tinggi. Ya know, shop lots. So we did some survey to get the cheapest chocolates and liquor. Though the prices doesn't differ much. Just by a few ringgit.

That night we rented a kancil for RM60 per day so that we could drive to Kuah Town the next day to do some shoppings. Credits to Nicole and Balraj for walking a long way to find for a car. Since it's peak season now, Chenang Beach is swamped with tourists. Mostly ang mohs and a few Koreans.

Then the following day we woke up early in the morning to watch sun rise. After waiting for about 20 minutes? Correct me if I'm wrong. I have terrible sense of time. We didn't get to see the sun rise because some mini island or trees or whatever was blocking our way. But it was alright. It's been a while since I last saw the sun rising.

That's Balraj emo-ing XD

After that we went island hopping with the rest of the group. Except for Gary's gang and 'the bunch'. ROFL. The places that we went were Pulau Dayang Bunting, eagle feeding watching at Pulau Singa Besar and some remote island which I have no idea what the name is.

At first I didn't plan to take a dip but the sun was scorching hot and Pei Li looked like she's having the time of her life. So what the heck? I paid RM35 for this! The boat ride is definately rougher compared to Pangkor's. And that meant fun.

After our BBQ dinner prepared by the Inn we did abit of exploring along the street. There's this small stores that sells souvenirs and clothes. You can find ciplak Roxy and some other 'branded' goods. I couldn't resist to buy a cookie monster and an Elmo tee for me nephews. I had a hard time deciding which character for whom. So the simplest solution? Nicole asked which is more naughty. Adam of course. So I ended up choosing the cookie monster tee for him. There's also bistro/cafe/restaurant-like places with awesome interiors. Too bad I didn't snap any photos. We checked out the prices and it's kind of decent. Just like those cafe's mushrooming around Bt Tinggi.

Then we headed out to Chenang Beach armed with junk food and alcohol, along with Pn Salwati. We did alot of gossiping there. Korek info from her like there's no tomorrow. Until Melissa felt light-headed and I was high already. LOL. I have very low alcohol tolerance.

Next morning we check out at 10am and headed towards Kuah Town again and did last minute shopping. Then we proceeded to the jetty. Inside the departure hall waiting for our 1.45 ride, Pn Sal told us that apparently a ferry collapsed near Pulau Tuba or something. Thank God nothing of that sort happened during our ride. LOL. Or I won't be typing this now.

Overall, I think the trip was enjoyable. We had time for ourselves. Instead of just sitting in the bus to every location. We get to explore a lil' bit. I guess this is what you call independant huh? LOL.

See, this is the 'oh we did this and then that' type of post. Bloody long right? It's like writing essay entitled 'What I did during school holiday'. LOL. Don't care lah. It's 4 in the morning. I need to be at the sis house at 8.30am to babysit my nephews. Die.

Btw dedication to Kong Sze Tzing!

Happy belated 19th birthday!
You lah! Who ask you not to follow us to Langkawi?!
Then we can celebrate together mah!

Shortlisted?

The definition of 'shortlisted' is

A list of people who have been judged the most suitable for a job or prize, made from a longer list of people originally considered, and from which one person will be chosen.

So they finally called and we're being told that we're 'shortlisted' for the job. Which means? They confirmed hiring us? or we have to go through interviews etc again? Pei Li and Balraj thinks that we've got the job but I think otherwise. Am I being paranoid here? Or they used the wrong term? *sigh*

Imma stop thinking about it and start packing. Langkawi's tomorrow! Whee~~ Can't wait for sunny beaches and tour around the island. Woohoo~

I'm given the mission to buy chocolates that you can't find in Klang. Which I have no idea how to buy. Hey, I eat chocolates. Lots of 'em. But I don't care about the brand. As long as it says chocolate on the package.

Anyhows, I've just returned from badminton with Mei Yin, Lee Shin, Mary-Ruth and Yen Sze. Elaine and Yong Shien came after that. Oh, how I miss our Form 6 life. Exclude the last 3 months of course. Everyone now seems to be finding for work and all. Or rotting in the house. Hehe~

Btw, if any of you guys are interested with working with Buzznet, the work that I've mentioned above, let me know k. If you don't mind working from 4pm till 1am at Plaza Sentral (opposite KL Sentral). Transportation is included or if you're driving, they will provide you with transportation allowance. Though you have to go through a test first to prove your english command.

tired and annoyed but happy XD

The PC's back! Woohoo~

And I just got back from Pyramid after watching Transporter 3. My god. Jason Statham is smoking hottttt with his killer bod *giggles*

Worth watching I'd say. Sooks, thanks for the recommendation!

Today was fun. Met up with Xiao Chien, Pinx, Wayne and guess who? Alvin. Yup. THE Alvin. I didn't expect him to be erm.. sociable? (Wayne don't angry k) He was alright lah. But I didn't talk much to him cause was kinda tired (slept around 3+). One thing that three of us agreed on was that they looked good together. Aih, forgot to take the pics from Xiao Chien so I can't upload it here. Anyhows, he's friendly I guess. At least he tried talking to us. He's cool. Yup, Wayne. You have my approval or I dare say OUR approval. ROFL. Like lah you need one.

Then Xiao Chien and I got cheeky after sending Pinx to her friend's house. We called her up and told her that we're lost. But the fact was we already reach my house. So she passed the phone to her friend and we had to tell him that we're only playing with her and had him pass back the phone to Pinx. We told her that we're surrounded by construction sites and there's nothing there. No car. No whatsoever. Then suddenly I told her we saw a 7-11, which is a hint (There's a 7-11 behind my house). Then she asked,

"Where is it?"

And I told her it's behind my house.

She was sooo bengang man! But thank god she took the joke well or I think she would slaughter us the next time we meet. ROFL.

Half of the day are gone and am still waiting for the phone call *sigh* Annoying =.='''
