Nods in agreement

Blog everyday in August? It's already September! HAHAHAHAHA
I guess I should stick to blogging out of the blue.
Tomorrow is another brand new week and I am not happy about it.

What would you do if you feel you have an incompetent person that serves as your leader?
A. follow blindly
B. highlight it to a higher authority
C. bear for at least until experience is earned
D. run for the door!

Decisions. Questions. Possibilities. Regrets. Hmm maybe it's not right for me to call it regrets but this job had made me choose to let go of things that at that point, those decisions seems right and sensible. Oh well, I am vying for a opportunity now. I don't know if things will work out or not since I am still very unsure of what I want *chuckles* When am I ever sure of the things that I want? *chuckles*

Don't stay
Forget our memories
Forget our possibilities
Take all your faithlessness with you
Just give me myself back and don't stay.
Sometimes I feel like I trusted you too well
Sometimes I just feel like screaming at myself
Sometimes in disbelief I didn't know
Somehow I need to be alone
I don't need you anymore, I don't want to be ignored
I don't need one more day of you wasting me away
With no apologies

End of December please come quickly. This is the first time I ever anticipate for the year to end FAST, more specifically, for my intern to end quickly. Working with *cough*malays*cough* are a huge pain in the arse. Especially the ones that acts like miss know-it-all and doesn't confront you when there is mistakes but go behind your back like literally behind my back and say things like "oh, I'm the one taking the bullet later"

Oh hell you will. I'm not gonna save your sorry arse. That was your job anyways that I had to take over because you decided not to work for an entire damn week because the small boss offended your little fragile heart. (Fyi, I'm not the small boss. heh) Oh and I bet when there's problem with accounts, you'll go and complain to the boss and accountant that it's MY fault, you don't know anything about it because you weren't there like what I've seen you did for countless of times since I started interning.

Well sorry to say Imma work for another 3 weeks only and then I'm out of here. Plus, I'm the niece you see so for the boss to blame/scold mua? FAT CHANCE! Irresponsible? HAH! Look who's talking. Point the finger back at yourself and shut your big fat mouth if you ever think of saying that about me cos you're not THAT responsible like you kept telling everyone you are.

What the...

I went up to Cheras again today with the sis. She wants me to learn the way. It's alright I guess. I'll be using Kesas highway so it's straight all the way and after that a few turnings. But things will be wee bit different when I'm in front of the wheel. Not her *sigh* On our way to the office, she was telling me things like 'slow down over here cos most accidents happen here'

-__________-

Even though before this I was complaining that I need to start driving, but now I'm a bit nervous about it. Aren't I suppose to stay within Klang radius for the first few months? Aigoo~

Guess everything happened too fast. But all I can do now is to embrace it and like what Mims said, give it my best shot.

Final

I know a lot of you guys are concern about me. Constantly asking if I've decided whenever we chat on MSN. Heh~ I have decided before this and it was all about getting the green light. But I also knew that I was fighting a losing battle.

Although it is not what I want, but they I've already decided to work for the time being. The sister had secured a job for me in a law firm which is owned by one of her clients. I met the lady yesterday and we talked a bit. She told me that by reading law doesn't mean that I have to practice it because the law field is actually very wide and a lot of people took a degree in law as a stepping stone for them to venture into other fields like engineering, banking etc.

If I'm still interested in doing translation, I could do that too. But translate from English to BM lah or vice versa. So the plan now is to work, and then study part time in one of the private institutions. I've did some research, places like Stamford, ATC and Brickfields do offer part time courses. LOL. Though maybe I won't be able to practice law after graduating because of the lousy STPM requirement. Arghh... What the heck?! Not gonna dwell into this matter anymore. There's really no point to fight till the end because Dewan Rakyat had released a statement saying "will not let me have it my way this time". So screw it, I'll do whatever it is. They want a degree in law. I'll give them a degree in law. Even if I won't get to practice it later on. Period.

So now my dear friends, if things go smoothly, my work starts on 3rd of August. The first 3 months are probation period. I'll be handling things like writing letters, making phone calls etc. Basically admin work lah *cries* But 'fraid not, it's a Monday to Friday job. 8.30am to 5.30pm. We will still get to meet up when you guys are back for holiday. And maybe, I'll be able to drive by then *winkwink* So, pray for me ya!

Whoosh~

Today, I was out for 12 hours straight going from

JJ --> Berkeley --> Bukit Raja --> Telok Gadong --> Modern

I know, damn busy cos MR came back! Woohoo~ We had an incident that happened today. Highlight of the week. Probably months. Haha~

Pei Li, do not read from here onwards.

If you guys enjoy dining or hanging out at Igentis, the place that sells bubble tea in JJ,

please think twice or consider as many times as possible before going there because believe it or not, there was a baby cockroach in Pei Li's drink. She did not realize it until she almost finish her drink. Of course the next thing to do was to complain about it and ask for the bill. But the damage was already done. And the most ridiculous thing was the waiter giving us excuses like they prepared clean stuff for us so maybe the cockroach fell into the drink from the ceiling because it's not very clean and that kind of crap. Pffftt.

Eh hello mister, it doesn't matter whether it was the worker or the cockroach's fault. The point is that IT HAPPENED IN THE RESTAURANT ITSELF. Aren't you guys suppose to keep the place clean in the first place? So, DON'T BLAME IT ON THE COCKROACH JUST BECAUSE IT COULDN'T JUSTIFY ITSELF. And for the sake of customer's satisfaction, you should have just suck it up and admit that it's the restaurant's fault instead of giving us some bullshit explaination. Denying it just make the matter worse.

So please, think twice before going there. Or at least make sure that the food over there is clean and insect-free before digging in.

Okay Pei Li, you can start reading again.

Then we had discussion about our trip to Malacca, Penang, The Cleft and Genting. Penang and Genting are out of the question for now unless we can find a better timing. Stupid school holiday. Kacau saje! But if Elaine on for Malacca then I guess it'll be a sure thing *crosses fingers*

Though I feel guilty for staying out so late tonight cos I was out late on Monday night too. To some maybe it looks like the sister and mom are being overprotective, but I guess they're just worried and I don't know, I'm not the most responsible and alert person on Earth? Well, not responsible and alert enough for them anyways.
I told my sister what Pei Li always say to me

"Once in a while only mah"

and guess what she replied me.

"What if something bad happened to you that very time?"

What am I suppose to say to her? I'm not that lucky? *sigh* Complicated lah.

Oh btw, Patrick Wilson and Justin Long is very cute. I know Justin Long is not in the hot hunk category but he just have that kind of attraction that I can't explain. HAHA~ Maybe it was because of the character that he played in he's just not that into you ?

Though, I wouldn't say that it's a must watch movie. I don't think it'll be appealing for guys especially or people that do not enjoy romance-y kinda movie. HAHA~ But I find the plot and the characters quite amusing. The movie also reminded me about working in Buzznet and how I would have reacted if I'm converting those voicemails that the characters would leave in the movie. It's hilarious!

edit: Eh, I just found out that Patrick Wilson played Nite Owl in Watchmen. This get up reminds me of Batman. So original.

He also played Raoul, Le Vicomte de Chagny in The Phantom of the Opera.

Damn gay right?! ROFL. Must watch again!!

Last day

I guess now I can be considered as a sampah masyarakat. LOL. I have always find that term amusing. Yes, I have quitted my job. Today was my last day. I'm currently jobless. But I don't think I'll be looking for one anyways.

Aside from the shitty management, I must say this whole experience is really eye opening for me. And the pay is really good. I've learned a lot I guess, like touch typing which I'm doing it right now. It's a pain in the arse but if I can master it, I can type a whole lot more faster than my current wpm.

And the colleagues. They are the best people to work with, slack and everything. Can you believe that we actually watched movies during our training for this week? Kononnya want to learn about British accent and all. But the only British movie that we watched was Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. The rest is American movies. LOL. Oh, I'm so going to miss Mel and Daphne =(

So folks, feel free to drop by my house or go yum cha or something. You guys know what number to call.

A quick rant from the office

I've been feeling quite cranky since Saturday night to be exact. Don't know why. Feels like PMS-ing or maybe not.

It comes and goes. And now I'm feeling a bit like how Melanie put it, A.S. anti-social. LOL.

Even a touch is making my blood boil. Seriously, it's not anybody's fault. Blame it on the hormones.

Mood swings *sigh*

Kemalangan air

Thanks to the 'responsible' Nissan driver who was rushing to God knows where and the 'great' road condition. I think most of you guys can imagine how I would react.

The normal Rubin would have exploded right there and then, cursing the driver with the nastiest cuss she knows and stay in a foul mood for the rest of the day, okay maybe week. Or weeks. LOL.

Instead, I was very calm. I shrugged it off and hurried to the office to clean up. But Pei Li and the rest were totally speechless after it happened. And that's the funny part about it. Everything was so spontaneous. I can never forget their expressions. The speechless-going-to-panic look and the eyes-gonna-pop-out look XD

I'm actually laughing at my own misfortune =D But still, it's not a great experience. Lesson learnt. Stay away from potholes. STAY FAR AWAY. I might not be so forgiving the next time.

And for the drivers out there, please drive slowly and safely even if you're rushing. Not only you are risking other people's life. But you are ruining your car's suspension. And who knows? You might be the next victim. And I can imagine you, clad in your suave office attire, looking oh-so-good and the next thing you know, you're drenched with god knows what water from god knows where. See how calm would you react then =)

20090227 Potluck

You know what? I kept thinking if I should prepare lunch for work tomorrow or not. If I should add this and that to my lunch or not. After some constant pondering only I realized that it's Sunday tomorrow and I'm not working.

What the heck?!

It's not like I'm looking forward to it or anything. But I think my brain is set up to think that I should prepare myself for work. All I can say that it's a good sign? Maybe? LOL. Time will tell.

Oh well, we had a form 6 gathering on Friday night at Brian's place. No photos. Everyone was busy chatting, exploring the house and peeking at the neighbours. LOL. It was potluck and I brought baby tomatoes stuffed with asam. Was kinda worry that others wouldn't like it but after Lee Shin and Elaine gave me positive feedback, I started proclaiming that it was mua that prepared it. LOL. For those who could not make it, sorry wey, you missed out on the good food. Hehe~

After that, we went to the 'bottomless teh tarik' lake to feed the duckies! 5 minutes and all the bread was gone. And I can tell ya, those ducks ain't full. The lake was a very nice spot. You can have a stroll after dinner or just go out there in the evening with a good book. But remember to gear yourself with insect repellent or you'll end up becoming food for the mosquitoes community.

It seems like the form 6 gang have gathering every now and then. But I think the next time when we meet again, it's going to be in school to get our results. Hohoho. That's scary. I shouldn't even be talking about that *sigh* Maybe it's about time for me to stop hiding, clear my mind and think about it?

operating

This week marks the third week of me working in Buzznet. The team started off with 29 conversion associates but now it's down to 21 of us. But more people will be leaving soon =(

One day Pei Li and I were the earliest to return to the office from lunch. So we took the opportunity and snapped a few photos. LOL.

It's the only office on that floor, apart from Block 3B, but we're in Block 3A. So, it's different. We get the pantry and washroom all to ourselves. LOL.

The company's logo at the front door.

This is what you see when you first step in.
That's the fridge at the corner and the mini 'kitchen' where we can mix drinks during break time.

Our 'classrooms'.
This is where we spent most of our time during the first two weeks.

The corner where our supervisors, team leaders, trainers, boss do their stuff.
And that door lead us to 'the floor' where the magic happens.
LOL.
So corny.

This is the first thing that you will see before entering 'the floor'.
We are not suppose to bring in our cell phones to protect the client's privacy.

'The floor'.
I'm currently sitting at the middle row beside the wall.
We get to see the sun rise from there.
But sometimes, it gets too bright, it's annoying.

And now we have this ID card that we need to swipe every single time we enter or leave 'the floor' and the office. It's so annoying because it's got this beeping sound that will go on and on forever whenever the door's open =(

One more week to go before paycheck day. I hope I'll be able to hang on till then. LOL.

Like a bear

Today ain't a good day. I had to re-sit the second assessment because I was below par at the first try. Honestly, the whole thing was really degrading. They're doubting the one thing that I'm confident about? It's totally, totally, TOTALLY RIDICULOUS.

Then there's people that I would absolutely love to bite their heads off. It's been what? Eight days? You're still not getting the message that your comment is not needed? The so-called master of sarcasm but doesn't get the hint. Tut tut. This is a sad, sad case. I think the best word to describe that person's behaviour is smart aleck. It fits in so well, that phrase was probably made up for that person. Scary.

Thank goodness tomorrow's already FRIDAY so I just have to go through one more day. And Julie-ann probably gonna announce the result for the assessment tomorrow. Finger crossed. I don't want to continue being degraded.

But today hasn't been all that bad. It gradually got better after the assessment because there were people that made me laugh with their random comments and actions. It made me forget about the assessment for a while. And also Pei Li, thanks for being there or I probably would have vandalized something. LOL.

Everything will be alright. Tomorrow will be fine.
