A guilty yet satisfying day

This is what I did when the nation is tuning into the wedding of the century, stuff myself with good food! LOL. Had a go at Kissaten, Jaya One. Was very tempted to have late lunch at Ikea, but thank god the traffic was really bad so it wasn't very convenient to make a turn to Ikea. Instead, we stuck to the original plan and went to Jaya One to try the pork burger and char siew pizza.

Potato Egg Salad
Teriyaki Pork Burger
<3 the sauce
Char Siew Pizza
The amount of cheese is sufficient to make me feel guilty

I must say the menu kinda reminds me of Pasta Zanmai, the price range around the same? They have other dishes as well such as don, udon, some local food etc etc. But I guess the pork burger and char siew pizza is the must try. Another one is the drink, read off some blog recommending it but didn't try cos it's made of blended BITTER GOURD and cucumber :|
You should know my stand.

Then we headed back to Klang and decided to stop by Aeon Bt Tinggi. Starbucks is currently having 50% off their fraps from 5pm to 7pm. The offer lasts until 7th May. So, the large green tea frap is only for RM8.20. HAHA. I didn't like it though because the ices were not blend fine enough. There is ice bits in every sip. Thumbs down :/

Dessert of the day!

Of course I must thank this girl for the lovely yet guilty day. HAHAHA. Thank you for always driving me around for good food, shopping and whatnot.

The Real Basketball Genius

One of my friends shared a piece of article on facebook and I was attracted to it because of the funny looking guy. I was thinking to myself this article must be very long ago and that fella looked like a gangster but didn't bother about it because the article is in Mandarin and obviously I do not understand it.

Few days later, on a random note my housemate Khailing told me that Sakuragi Hanamichi, the main character in Slam Dunk is actually based on a real person. Then she opened the same article that our mutual friend shared and read it to me.

For those who could read Mandarin, this is the article.

Translation for those who couldn't XD

Hanamichi Sakuragi was born in 1968 in a family of the common working class. His mother passed away when he was very young, without the love of his mother he use the violence (out-on-the-street fights) to resolve his problems. As a young boy he was very tall at the age of 12 average 1.75 mts, and his body began to acquire force and a lot of resistance through his fights. Once he had a fight with the students in the sports zone of the University of Tokyo; his abilities to fight, velocity and tough physicality they attracted the coach of the basketball team and offered him to join the team.

In a party of practice, at the age of 17, against the National Team of Japan, Hanamichi of 1.89 mts, was the unique one that was not frightened by the professionals and noted 33 points alone: 10 shots, 3 nailed, 1 triple, 1 shot that did not find the terminology to explain and 2 free shots.

Although its team lost with only 59 points (59-115), had been an excellent first game for Hanamichi. Basketball was in chaos, and he was named "The Hope of the Japanese Basketball". Nevertheless, his father fell sick a year later. Hanamichpi went of, return to Tokyo, and this trip would cost him all. He descended of the bus in Tokyo and he was on the verge of crossing the street across the hospital when a car that went very fast hit him. Although he had the "body of steel",  the impact simply was too strong. He collapsed, they carried him to the hospital. Unfortunately it was too late. Before they sent him to the operating room, he died from internal hemorrhage, only with 18 years of age.

The world of the Japanese Basketball was completely destroyed, they called this loss "Colossal". The mangaka, Takehiko Inoue created its series "Slam Dunk" based on the history of this youth.

The drawn Sakuragi Hanamichi does look like the real one on the article. Even the hairstyle is the same HAHAHA. I've never thought that it would be based on a real person. Though it's such a shame that he died at such a young age, else he would have achieved something bigger rather than being immortalised in a manga after his death.

THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN WHAT I WOULD POST

Sadly, the article is a hoax after I've gone snooping around! Such disappointment! I even felt sorry for that "Sakuragi Hanamichi" because he didn't even get to see his father for one last time. And was thinking "Hmm maybe they met in heaven or something. That would be nice." Pfft... How naive.

That "Sakuragi Hanamichi" is actually Yoshiki, the co-founder of X-Japan (a legendary heavy metal band from Japan). It's a picture when he was younger. That explains it cos he's 46 years old now ==

Aihh I feel so cheated. Anyways, Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! Eat more cookies and bahkwa! Collect more angpaos! And those who balik kampung, have lots of fun and drive safely!

EVERYBODY HUAT AHHHH! :D

The problem with my browsers are not solved. I still can't open facebook, blogger and hotmail. Thus I didn't get to update my blog while I'm in Cheras. Have to use housemate's laptop to go online. Sigh. Such hassle. Gotta wait till one of them is out before I could hog their lappie. Lol.

By the by, happy mid-autumn festival to everyone! Hope you guys had a great night like I did. Yesterday night was seriously awesome! Coincidently it's Khailing's birthday today so we celebrated a lil' bit earlier for her. Great, great night with a few of us ended up being drunk and doing/saying the most embarrassing stuff. Oh gosh.

But I hope all of you had a wonderful celebration! :)

The little color wave on my wall is actually taken from Katie Sokoler's blog that MR showed me a couple weeks ago.
She's amazing with the decorations she did with her house.
I like how she make her house so vibrant =D
And love her pet cat, Moo although I'm not a fan of cats.
By the by, the redblueyellow stripes reminded me of TV3.
Hmmm..

Cupcakes?

This is the outcome of my first attempt in baking cupcakes.
The first batch is vanilla cupcakes while second is chocolate flavor.
Unfortunately the chocolate batch did not make the cut
cos I forgot to adjust the quantity of eggs.
So it did not turn out nice.

Appreciate the fact that we could still hang out after such a long time.
Even though it was only for a couple of hours.
But it was fun seeing and talking to you again.
Ahhh how I wish we were back to the old days.

Spell the magic~

I know I'm suppose to go and sleep by now but I had this itch to post something up. Lol. I'm STILL listening to One Way's Magic, repeating it in my playlist. Heh. It'll soon become Song of the Month!

The Lovely Bones was released today. Okay, technically it was yesterday since it's already 1am in the morning. Lol. I managed to watch it with me friend! Yay~

Thank you so much May Yee for accompanying me to watch this flick. I've been waiting for the release since the production was announced over the net. Mwahhh~

The adaption was slightly different from the book but touching (and sad) nonetheless. Not even 10 minutes into the flick I was tearing up already. Maybe it was because I knew what was coming so I couldn't help it. Definitely a must watch. The graphic was magnificent.

I love the actress who played Susie Salmon (the girl who was killed) and her beautiful blue eyes. And oh, Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz too! They did a great job, especially Mark Wahlberg as the father. I could really imagine the pain that he was going through after losing her. Okay, I might tear up again.

It's sad to think that there are fathers (or family members) that are really going through this kind of pain. Knowing that a family member was sexually assaulted before being killed and disposed of is really heart breaking.

Seriously, I will start tearing up if I continue. Heh.

Other than that, I went to a tango concert this evening with my house-mates. It was a collab between the lecturers and students of the Music Faculty from my school. Electric guitar, piano, accordion, double bass and a violin.

Some of the songs were kinda cool especially when there's a long haired punk girl playing the violin and a lecturer playing a huge ass double bass. All of them seems to enjoy the performance very much so there were funny expressions involved. But I couldn't laugh because I was sitting second row from the front. Heh.

Alright, I think I'll stop here. I've finish sipping my warm milk and I've got an accounting practice tutorial at 9.30am. It would require my brain to be up and running. Lol. Take care people. Later days! ;)

Team Jacob ^^

Well, updates are ceasing nowadays. Nothing inspires me to write anymore. I don't go like "oh yeah, I should blog about this". And somehow I feel I write naively. Haha. That's what my writing lecturer told the class. He said that some of the students are still writing naively and I sorta terasa. I don't know. I'm doing well in his class (it's one of the classes that I enjoy this sem) but felt like I'm not up to par yet *sigh* enough about that. Let's proceed on with the post.

As all of you have read my title, yep, I'm officially in team Jacob. I can imagine Pei Li's reaction already *chuckles*

Honestly, the film sucked big time. Kristen Stewart is still kayu and all like how she was in Twilight. Robert Pattinson's, well, I still do not get why girls are crazy over him. Maybe like what Pei Yi said, he's good looking at CERTAIN angle. Lol. Yeah, maybe. It's just that I have not discover that and how good an actor he is yet. Heh..

Lucky I did not expect anything out of this film cos I've heard bad reviews before going for it. The only thing that saved it from further damnation was Taylor Lautner's shirtless scenes. And boy, he looked SOOOO much better with short hair. LOL. I think by now I can't deny the fact that I'm weak when it comes to *cough*hot*cough*bods*cough*. I'm so shallow and I can't help it =)

TL's physical appearance was not the only thing that made me support team Jacob though. It's because in this case, I would prefer the idea of a friendly relationship turns romantic. I do like the idea of love at first sight too, don't get me wrong. But don't you think that Edward have the upper hand? It was easy enough for Bella to fall madly in love with Edward that oozes out charms involuntarily. So, I don't think it's fair to say that Bella loves him not for his looks only but whole-heartedly.
I bet it's a different story if Edward and Jacob are of the same standard.

And I prefer Jacob's portrayal that's more human-like contrary to Edward who is cold and sparkles under the sunlight. Pffttt. That's pure ghey.

I know I'm being bias here partly because of the actor *chuckles* but damn, I'd say GO TEAM JACOB.

20091125 Forum

Another burden to be axed from the list. It was really fun and enjoyable.
Although the feedback from the lecturers weren't very good.
We did had a great time preparing for it especially in shooting the video.
Once the vid is uploaded I'll link it.

the blur lecturer ^^

I have this chinese-Indonesian friend that I'd always sit together with during lectures and tutorials since we're taking four out of five subjects together.

And today during our Human Communication lecture, the lecturer asked something about racism against chinese people in Indonesia.

It goes something like this

"Rubin and Revythia, why does the .... "

The whole class was laughing out loud and I turned to him and said,

"Sir, I'm Malaysian!"

And he'd always mistaken me for Revy and Revy for me. We know that because when he called out my name, he's looking at Revy instead and vice versa. That's why both of us refer him as 'the blur lecturer'.

And this is me looking blur dot com. I thought it would be ugly, but hey it turned out quite okay. I was actually talking to Mima when she snapped this. LOL.

And I had a very filling lunch with the twins and Wayne. They treated me lunch. Thank you very muchie!!

Creamy shrimp risotto.
I never fail to order this.
LOL.

And the dessert!
Bread and pudding? What's the name again? Can't remember. Heh~

Oh yes, Pei Li they do serve you water if you don't order drinks. LOL.

Imma introduce my lappie too.

I've named him Tablo. Yes, it's a him. LOL. But he's not so leng chai anymore cos in order to protect him, I've sticked the keyboard protector thingy cos my room is dusty thanks to the construction site.

<333

I can't log into Facebook and the connection is so weak!! Damn. Anyways, a big thank you and hugs for all the wishes and blessings from my dear friends. I can't wait for the third week of August =)

For the ones in Klang, we manage to go for dinner. It was nice to spend the night with a few buddies and joke around. And Pei Yi bought me dinner. Muahaha~ Thanks again! But Elaine and Sze Tzing couldn't make it cos they were busy =(

Anyhows, p
hotos are with Sooks and Nicole. Will ask from them later. I only manage to capture this.

We were sitting at table number 25.
Heh~
The coincidence.

And oh, thank you very much for the polo tees. Now, I have 7 polo tees and I'm still counting for more XD

While on the weekend, I went over to Thailand. It's my first trip. Yay~ I've been wanting to visit our neighbouring country since Standard 6 and finally, I get to go! LOL. And I might be going again this coming Raya. Weeee~

Something caught my eyes when we went around town.

This pole is not the worst compared to another one that I saw. But I didn't have the chance to snap that. I don't know about you guys but it sure looked dangerous to me. Like it's going to explode any moment due to excess usage of electricity. Scaryyy.

Sekadar lalu

Holy cow!
What happened to Nicole Tong?
Is that blood?

LOL~
It's cream or icing or whatever you call it.
Looks like she was injured right?
Poor Sze Tzing.
Victim of the cheeky Nicole.
XD

An advance surprise birthday celebration with Nicole.
Although we might see her again on Saturday.
But since most people could make it, why not?

Sze Tzing flexing her muscle. Haha~
Nolah. She was telling me about some superstitious stuff.
Apparently if there's a line on your arm near the joint then your grandfather comes from China.
I have yet confirm if my grandfather is from China.
LOL.

And my dear Mei Yin going high again.
Why?
Miss someone is it?
=P

Berubinlah~
